    Donna Kelce overcomes travel delays to attend sons Travis, Jason’s playoff games on same day

    Donna Kelce was probably one of the busiest people around on Sunday as she set out to watch her sons, Eagles’ All-Pro center Jason and Chiefs’ All-Pro tight end Travis, compete in their respective playoff games on the same day. There was just one minor problem, however. The Eagles were playing in Tampa at 1 p.m. and the Chiefs were playing in Kansas City at 8 p.m., meaning she would already be pressed for time to make the second game at kickoff.     Attention Novak Djokovic: MGA relaunches travel cover for sports athletes

    In a move that may grab the attention of one Novak Djokovic, Jackson Lee Underwriting (JLU) has relaunched its Sports Travel Plus policy, now enhanced to cover for COVID-specific risks. The relaunched Sports Travel Plus policy is a BIBA-approved scheme which now has new wording that covers more than 150 sports, each at a highly granular level, a release said. Designed to provide cover for sports enthusiasts, groups, and teams competing, participating, and training overseas, the scheme’s new wording includes coverage for non-standard aspects such as COVID cancellation, medical treatment costs, and repatriation, in addition to extra travel

    Self-proclaimed ‘Mr. Sports Travel’ continues trek to college hockey arenas with 2021 ventures – College Hockey

Good riddance 2020 – yet thank goodness 2021 because fans were back in the stands. And Mr. Sports Travel, too! Since my first opus here in 2013, I’ve been sharing my experiences and opinions as I quest to enjoy a game at every NCAA Division I men’s venue. Update: one left – Alaska Fairbanks!

    Sports league travel | Nature Climate Change

    Sports leagues in North America generate massive emissions because they rely heavily on long-distance air travel throughout the season. Virtual solutions, adopted by many other sectors, are not feasible since players must be present for the game. However, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has unintentionally provided a chance for sports leagues to optimize the schedule and reduce emissions. Seth Wynes of Concordia University, Canada, estimates that in the pre-pandemic 2018 season, teams from four major sports leagues of North America travelled 7.5 million kilometres and emitted 121,841 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The National Basketball Association (NBA) generates the highest emissions, as they
