But one notable change: The CDC added 399 COVID-related deaths that it apparently hadn’t previously counted in Nebraska’s tally. Some Nebraskans are reaching for over-the-counter COVID tests after returning from trips, before visiting Grandma or after waking up with a scratchy throat or stuffy nose.     COVID ECMO patients at WVU Medicine trending younger

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The doctor that heads up the program that treats the sickest of the sick COVID-19 patients in West Virginia says the number of patients continues to increase. Dr. Jeremiah Hayanga Dr. Jeremiah Hayanga, a thoracic surgeon and director of WVU Medicine’s ECMO treatment program said Thursday on MetroNews “Talkline” their patients are trending younger. “We’re seeing what a lot of the other states saw in late-June or early-July, an influx of patients, predominately the unvaccinated younger patients who are sick, very, very sick,” Hayanga said.     Alabama adds 4,000-plus COVID cases, 635 in 1 county

    The number of new coronavirus cases in Alabama topped 4,000 today. The figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health show the state has recorded 623,919 cases of COVID-19 since March 2020, adding 4,167 since yesterday. Another 35 deaths were added bringing the total to 7,890. One county – Mobile – saw the greatest increase with 635 new cases. Other counties with three-digit increases were: Baldwin (338), Etowah (109), Houston (132), Jefferson (470), Lee (112), Madison (209), Marshall (121), Montgomery (140), Shelby (169) and Tuscaloosa (100). Hospitalizations are now at 2,371, compared to 277 a month ago. Here are the

    Home Depot & Lowe’s have adjusted their polices based on the increase in COVID cases nationwide LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two big names in home improvement have updated their mask policies nationwide. Both Home Depot and Lowe’s updated their policies effective Monday in light of growing COVID cases.
