    New finance business opens in downtown Worthington.

    WORTHINGTON — Legacy Tax & Accounting opened its doors after a Nov. 19 ribbon cutting ceremony. The new Worthington business, located on Fourth Avenue, offers full tax services including individual, farm, partnership and any business taxes, to name a few. Though the business has limited office hours, owners Sue Johnson and Deb Olson will also provide bookkeeping services, which will cover a number of items from payroll and sales tax to accounting. “We’re open year ’round to serve the public,” said Olson. “Whether it’s extensions, tax letters, new businesses pre-tax, or consultations.” Johnson and Olson have known each other for

    Alumni, Business and Finance lead Combined Campaign participation | Nebraska Today

    The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s chase for the Chancellor’s Cup roared into its second week as the Nebraska Alumni Association approached perfect participation, and Business and Finance surged into the Large Division lead. The friendly competition is part of the university’s participation in the 2021-22 Combined Campaign for Health and Human Services. The university is a longtime participant in the community fundraiser, which continues through Nov. 12. To encourage participation by faculty and staff, weekly individual prizes are being awarded and the Chancellor’s Cup will be presented to the campus division that records the greatest number of employees who donate.

    Bill Nunez steps down as vice chancellor for business and finance | News

    Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance Bill Nunez is stepping down at the end of the calendar year after accepting another position at Texas Christian University.  Nunez worked for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for 18 years, four of those in his current position.
