The evolving style of this growing city will take center stage with a first-of-its-kind fashion week, spearheaded by local designer Phillip Maximilian.
The Fort Worth Fashion Week events run from Feb. 21 -27 and will take place at stores, boutiques and galleries throughout the city.
“We know Fort Worth has different styles,” said Maximilian. “That’s why we chose different areas.”
An opening night reception is scheduled for Monday at Eyeworks, 3017 W. 7th St., from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is free with an RSVP at fwfashionweek.com.
On Tuesday, models will showcase Neiman Marcus’ spring looks at 4 p.m. at the store’s Clearfork location.
On Wednesday, fashion enthusiasts can enjoy an hour of private shopping at Macy’s River Run location with a live music performance by Simone Nicole. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Local designer Twinkle Patel will debut her collection for TikTok-famous brand Shein at a runway show on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Bale Creek Allen Gallery, 400 Houston St. Between 5 and 8 p.m., nearby gallery Dang Good Candy, 420 Houston St., is hosting an event showcasing TCU’s historic costume collection. An after party is scheduled for 8 p.m. at The Spotlight, 401 Houston St., at 8 p.m.
Boutiques along Camp Bowie Boulevard, designated “Fashion Row,” will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday for shoppers to peruse new spring looks while enjoying live music, snacks and drinks. An after party will be held at nearby Winslow’s Wine Cellar.
The week’s events culminate with “The Official After Party” on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ampersand, 3009 Bledsoe St. Attendees are encouraged to “dress to impress” at this high fashion event.
The week wraps up with a “Sunday Funday” brunch, featuring the debut of Chaparral Golf Co.’s spring/summer 2022 collection. Brunch will take place at Lot 12 Rooftop Bar, 2512 W. Berry St., and starts at 11 a.m.
“A lot of people want to see this happen,” said Maximilian. “I see this going a long way.”
Studio 74 owner Laura Simmons called fashion week “long overdue” for Fort Worth.
